Promotional Flyer
Located in downtown Phoenix, Curious Nature is an oddities and curiosities shop known for its unique atmosphere and eclectic collection of ethically sourced taxidermy, skulls, bones, exotic plants, and vintage-inspired collectibles. When tasked with designing a flyer to promote their summer classes, I saw an opportunity not just to create a functional piece of advertising, but to craft something that visually represented the spirit of the shop itself.

To begin, I studied the store’s branding, physical space, and customer base to understand the tone and aesthetic that would resonate most. I aimed to channel the vibe of a haunted vintage hotel—mysterious, elegant, and slightly eerie—while still making the flyer feel accessible and informative. The final design is fully vector-based, ensuring flexibility across print and digital formats.

The gold, white, and green color palette was chosen to align with Curious Nature’s branding and evoke a sense of richness and curiosity. The flyer copy pairs engaging class descriptions with strong calls to action, helping drive interest and sign-ups.

This project helped me grow as a designer by pushing me to consider not only visual elements, but also audience perception and brand alignment. More than just creating a flyer, I practiced turning a business’s identity into an experience that speaks directly to the people they hope to reach.
