Content Strategy & Style Guide

Joe’s Poppin’ Popcorn was founded with a heartfelt purpose. In October 2000, Joe’s parents set out to create a sustainable business that would give their son, Joe Steffy, a young adult with DS-ASD, the opportunity to do meaningful work. The company officially launched in April 2005, with Joe as the sole proprietor. Today, his business has flourished into a brand known for its high-quality, delicious kettle corn.

This project focused on developing a comprehensive content strategy plan for Joe’s Poppin’ Popcorn, aiming to enhance online presence and customer engagement. It involved several key components:

  • Audience personas to better understand and target customer segments.

  • Competitor analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth.

  • A detailed content strategy and mapping to ensure consistent messaging across digital platforms.

  • A social media strategy to increase visibility and drive engagement.

  • Creation of a style guide to maintain a consistent brand voice, tone, and visual identity.

  • Crafting multiple blog posts for the company’s new blog.
     

Throughout this project, I gained an appreciation for how critical it is to align a company’s website with its brand identity. By aligning the brand’s mission with its online presence, the right content can not only attract customers but also build a loyal, engaged community around the brand.
