Content Audit and Report
Wool 2 Dye 4 is a small, family-owned business that supplies high-quality undyed yarn to hand-dye artists. Their commitment to ethically sourced fibers from around the world—and their attention to details like ply, fiber content, and origin—gives their products an edge in a niche market. Their product pages have grown organically over time, resulting in inconsistencies that made it harder for customers to navigate and compare offerings.

I began the project by gaining an understanding of the company’s history, core values, and target audience. Understanding this helped me set clear goals for the new product pages: they needed to be intuitive, consistent, and informative while staying true to the brand’s handmade, approachable tone.

The heart of the project was a full catalog audit. I systematically documented every listing, noting how information was presented and where there were gaps, redundancies, or unclear details. This part of the process was especially valuable because it taught me how to work with a large body of existing content, break it down into manageable parts, and evaluate it against strategic goals.
Out of that audit came a detailed report with specific recommendations: standardizing terminology, grouping similar products, improving descriptions, and refining metadata. Throughout, I had to think not just like a writer or editor, but like a customer; what would they need to feel confident in their purchase?

This experience strengthened both my research and organizational skills. It taught me how to ask the right questions, identify patterns, and structure content in a way that serves both the client and their audience. By the end, I wasn’t just helping Wool 2 Dye For clean up product pages—I was helping them tell a clearer story about what they offer and why it matters.
